Pottery Painting for Guests

Pottery painting is available for groups and for individuals staying in Downhill courtesy of Elements Studio. Groups of 10 or more can book a 2 hour painting slot with instruction for £30 studio fee + the price of the pieces. Guests staying at the hostel can paint mugs for £12.50 with no studio fee at any time during their visit. The mugs will be fired in batches for later collection or postage. If guests are from outside Northern Ireland pieces can be posted anywhere in the world for an additional cost.
Painting pottery is fun for all ages and gives you a unique souvenir of your holiday. Guests report that they love getting their special ‘made in Downhill’ mug in the post when they get back home from their vacation. We especially recommend this for families and for a wet afternoon activity! You do not need to pre-book if you are staying at the hostel, mugs and instructions are available (starting at Easter 2012) you just need to ask for a set of paints from reception.
