Something pretty to remind us all that spring is coming! We’re going to start a new page on the blog with guests beach images, if you have any favourites we’d love to see them! In the meantime enjoy this short… the music is from a locally recorded album made by traditional musicians all from the collection of Edward Bunting (1773-1843) which can be bought through limavady borough council (and hopefully us too this summer)

This is a beautiful tribute, both in images and music, to Downhill beach which we visited today for the very first time with our baby son. It captures the magic of the place without compromise and has clearly been created by by people who fully appreciate the natural unspoilt beauty of this beautiful corner of our wonderful country. Will be saving and viewing it many times when we can’t escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Thank you Maria, that is very kind! We are delighted you visited Downhill and will take a beautiful memory home with you. All the best, and if you are back in the area feel free to come and check out the beachhouse accommodation, we have family rooms!
